[Math Tips] The Cheat Sheet Method

student,

Welcome to another issue of Math Tips Daily - the free eZine to offer tips and tricks for students to survive and excel in math.

Today's topic is about the cheat sheet. Well, a cheat sheet is not for cheating, rather, a great way to organize the core materials for super study and exam prep.

A cheat sheet is a condensed compilation of concepts and fact from the math topic being studies. It has nothing to do with cheating, but is in fact a study aid. Typically, it is one sheet with all the necessary information for a given topic.

To start with, for each topic, the cheat sheet must contain, in brief, all the important information.
* Definitions
* Formulas
* New techniques learned in the particular topic
* Useful tricks
* A sample problem or two
* Draw pictures if needed

Write out the information in the manner that will help you best.

Writing the information itself is a great study aid. You will find that by the time you have completed writing out your cheat sheet, you already know a fair bit of the material.

Going forward, as the information in the cheat sheet becomes familiar with regular studying, you will need to refer to it less and less. And as you get to the exam, you will not need it at all.

That should do it for today.

Keep it up with your study. "See" you tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Seize the Day!
