[Physics Tips] The math skills for physics

Dear student,

Welcome back for another day of physics tips - math needed to succeed in physics.

Wither you are in high school or college, typically you will be offered with two types of physics courses:
(1) Algebra-Based Physics: Also called "The Physics for the Poets". Majority of you might take this course, without the requirement of calculus, typically for general purpose physics.
(2) Calculus-Based Physics: This is mostly for science and enginerring bound students, which require calculus.

In almost all physics courses, some background in mathematics is necessary. This doesn't mean that you must be a math wizard, or that it must be your favorite subject. However, you do need to be able to use the basics of algebra, trigonometry, and geometry. Depending upon the exact physics course of study you are taking, calculus may also be needed.

This prerequisite math is usually at the difficulty level of high school mathematics. In college courses sometimes the needed math class is taken along with the physics class. Even if you are a bit rusty at these math areas, the essential elements are usually briefly reviewed in the textbook. In these rapid learning tutorials all the necessary mathematical skills will be re-taught in depth and detail.

Let's master the math the easier way, watch and learn via the rapid learning tutorial on "Math for Physics" - the movie will refresh the math needed to do well in physics:
